Scott Lander, DC
Despite a love of architecture and design for as long as he remembers, native Californian Scott Lander first chose a career as a chiropractor. Scott attended California State University, Northridge for his undergraduate degree and obtained his DC from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles. After becoming a licensed real estate agent, Scott began buying and restoring architectural and historic homes. His passion for design integrity and historic preservation pushed him toward grand homes, regional vernacular design, modern masterpieces, and those neglected over time but retained key elements of original craftsmanship, character, architecture, and history.
A life-long resident of Glendora, Kealy Alkana was fortunate to grow up in a late-nineteenth-century transitional Victorian. Her family’s large home was once the grove house for one of Glendora’s early citrus growers who operated their groves on and around the house until after WWII. Living in a historic property introduced Kealy to the importance of restoring and maintaining historic and architectural houses. She learned that every house has a story and has come to appreciate the relationship of a structure to the environment in which it is located.
